Born Staten Island, NY, SahLence found her love for singing and performing at the age of 8 years old after winning the first talent show she ever entered. Since then, her passion for song and stage has continued to grow. A classically trained vocalist, SahLence has honed her love for music under the direction of several acclaimed music directors over the years.

She released her debut EP "Grind, Grace & Gratitude" back in October of 2013 and received rave reviews for the project. The video for her single "Sex Appeal" off the EP has been featured on SingersRoom, UrbanAlley, JackTheThriller and several other notable blogs.

She has consistently continued to build a name for herself in the music industry, and has worked with Ray Angry and Dice Raw of The Roots, Dres of Blacksheep, Daru Jones of The White Stripes and several other acclaimed musicians and producers. She has opened up for former Roc-A-Fella artist Rell, Lyfe Jennings, Robert Curry of Day 26 and has performed at world-renowned venues such as BB King's Blues Club in New York City and Washington D.C.'s Howard Theater. Most recently, SahLence featured on "Say Yes" of Joell Ortiz's widely acclaimed album "House Slippers", produced by The Heatmakerz.

Her sophomore EP "21 Days Of Summer" is set to be released Late 2017. Her first single "Groove Me" is available to stream on SoundCloud now!
